LAHORE (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has granted permission to the Sharif family to meet Opposition Leader in the National Assembly and and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday (today). As per reports, the permission was sought earlier during the week. The family members, who are likely to meet Shehbaz Sharif, include former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz, Nusrat Shehbaz and Maryam Nawaz. According to the sources, other than family matters, party and overall political issues are likely to be discussed during the meeting. It also reported that they will also discuss NAB cases and ongoing political situation in the country. Earlier in November, after a series of medical examinations ordered by the court, it surfaced that Shehbaz was suffering from a kidney infection, a lymph node in his chest with chances of recurrence of cancer. On October 5, the NAB had arrested Shehbaz Sharif in the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme scam. The former chief minister was charged with awarding illegal contracts to his favorite firm. He was apprehended during his appearance before NAB in Saaf Pani Company scam. Sources told that three files were tabled before him. The bureau quizzed Sharif regarding a tender awarded to a private consultancy company for a survey of the Saaf Pani company.
