Presidential Ordinance strips NAB chairman of plea bargain power

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – President Mamnoon Hussain has promulgated the NAB Amendment Ordinance 2017, stripping the NAB chairman of the power of plea bargain. Under the ordinance, only court can give the approval of the plea bargain. The person benefiting from the plea bargain will be declared ineligible for a public office. The government officer benefiting from plea bargain will be sacked.
