NAB arrests five Lines area Development Project officials

KARACHI (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau arrested five officials of Lines Area Development Project for alleged involvement in China-cutting 1,200 plots worth Rs 4.5 billion on Monday. According to details, Rangers conducted a raid and arrested Deputy Director Farid Naseem, Additional Director Atta Abbas, Additional Director Rashid Hussain for illegally selling plots and receiving bribes from the builders. The black money was used to support the terrorists activities across Sindh. The arrested officials have mentioned the names of several officials of Karachi Muncipal Committee and Karachi Development Authority during investigations. Meanwhile, Rangers conducted a raid on Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) over illegal construction and China Cutting in the metropolis. The paramilitary ended its siege after grilling officials regarding illegal construction, approval of controversial China cutting. Rangers official also confiscated important data relating to such unlawful practices.
