NAB chairman approves inquiry against Rana Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has approved an inquiry against PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah. Addressing a meeting of the NAB Executive Board on Tuesday, Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said that the NAB was strictly following the policy of accountability for all. “It is our top priority to take the mega corruption cases to logical end,” he said. He said that references of 630 cases had been filed in different courts. On November 30, Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Judge Shakir Hassan had extended the judicial remand of PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah in the drugs recovery case till December 14. On July 1, the Lahore ANF had arrested PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah near Sukheke. He was shifted to ANF Cantonment Office for interrogation. His medical examination was conducted in the ANF custody. ANF Commander Brig Khalid Mahmood supervised the arrest. Sources said that Rana Sanaullah had left Faisalabad for Lahore at 1pm and the contact with him was made last time near Sukheke. “A huge quantity of contrabands was also recovered from the vehicle of Rana Sanaullah. Its quantity could be up to 15kg,” they said.
