NAB chairman directs officers to double efforts to end corruption

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has directed the subordinate officers to double efforts to eliminate corruption.

Addressing a meeting at NAB Headquarters on Monday, he said that the NAB had recovered Rs 487 billion from the corrupt elements during last three years and submitted this amount to the national exchequer.

He said that the NAB is determined to making the country corruption free according to the law. "The overall conviction ratio in the NAB cases is 68.8 percent. According to a survey, 59 percent people trust the NAB," he added.

Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said that the NAB is role model for seven countries.
