NAB court's verdict to be fully implemented: NAB Chairman

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal has said that orders of the Accountability Court in Avenfield Reference case will be fully implemented. As per reports, the NAB chairman has summoned an emergency meeting for today (on Friday) in wake of Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz's return to Pakistan to face jail term. Javed iqbal summoned meeting of the bureau to examine the situation on the arrival of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The meeting will review the overall situation as per law pertaining to the return of the former prime minister. In the meeting, all the aspects will be overviewed regarding the arrest of Nawaz and Maryam as well as their shifting from Lahore airport to jail also would be discussed. In a statement, the NAB chairman made it clear that the arrest warrants issued by the Accountability Court in the case for former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will be implemented as per law. He reiterated that action would be taken against violators and those impeding the path of law. he further said that the orders of the Accountability Court in Avenfield Reference case will be fully implemented. Earlier, the NAB had formed a 16-member team to detain Sharif and Maryam, with the anti-graft body directing additional security personnel to remain on alert on Friday (today). On the other hand, the National Accountability Bureau has arranged two helicopters. One helicopter will be at Lahore Airport, while the other would be in Islamabad, and the father-daughter duo would be arrested upon landing at either of the two airports.
