NAB chairman takes notice of arrest of Peshawar Museum & Archaeology director

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has taken notice of the arrest of Peshawar Museum and Archaeology Director Dr Abdus Samad. He ordered the official to bring Dr Abdus Samad to Islamabad on February 18. The NAB chairman said that all legal requirements will be fulfilled to ensure self-respect of Dr Abdus Samad. Dr Abdus Samad was handcuffed and produced in court on the charge of illegal recruitments. Prime Minister Imran Khan had termed the attitude of the NAB insulting. Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Imran Khan had also taken notice of the arrest of the director of Archaeology and Museums for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Dr Abdul Samad, by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Responding to a post by Twitter user Ismail Khan, the prime minister tweeted that the NAB chief ‘should take action’ against people who are behind ‘this disgraceful act’. "The NAB chairman should take action against those in his institution who are responsible for this disgraceful act," the premier wrote.
