NAB completes preparations to arrest Shehbaz over bail rejection in LHC

LAHORE (92 News) - Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has reached Lahore High Court (LHC) for interim bail extension in the money laundering case. The PML-N president reached the LHC for interim bail extension in assets-beyond-means and money laundering case and the National Accountability Bureau also completed its preparations to arrest him over bail rejection Meanwhile, NAB Lahore has prepared the historical reference based on evidence in the money laundering case against Shahbaz Sharif. A fresh Rs7 billion money laundering reference had been filed against Shehbaz Sharif and his family. The reference comprised 55 volumes and 25,000 pages of documentary evidence against the Sharifs, including company records, bank statements and foreign remittances. Earlier a day, a LHC division bench extended interim bail of Shehbaz Sharif in assets-beyond-means and money laundering case till Thursday (today). The bench headed by Justice Sardar Ahmad Naeem heard the pre-arrest bail petition filed by Shehbaz Sharif. During proceedings, Shehbaz Sharif along with his counsels - Azam Nazir Tarar and Amjad Pervaiz - appeared before the bench whereas Special Prosecutor Syed Faisal Raza Bukhari appeared on behalf of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
