NAB court allows Dr Asim to travel abroad for medical treatment

KARACHI (92 News) – In hearing of the reference case, the National Accountability court has allowed Dr Asim to travel abroad for medical treatment on Saturday here. During the hearing of a case pertaining to corruption of Rs463 billion, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Dr Asim appeared before court with other accused. The lawyer submitted application to the court. In the plea, it was request to the court for allowing Asim's to travel abroad for treatment. The court has accepted the application and permit to the accused to travel abroad anytime between June 10 to June 12. The court has also directed to hold proceedings over the case on daily basis from June 11. Earlier, the former petroleum minister had travelled abroad for medical treatment earlier this year, but had returned within the time period stipulated by the court.
