ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to arrest former senator Ishaq Dar through Interpol in the assets reference. The NAB has written a letter to Interior Ministry to issue red warrants for Ishaq Dar. Important documents, including perpetual warrants and Ishaq Dar’s travel history, have been attached with the letter. However, the Interior Ministry has returned the application after terming it incomplete. Caretaker Interior Minister Muhammad Azam will approve the red warrants for Ishaq Dar. In the reference against Ishaq Dar, NAB alleged that the accused has acquired assets and pecuniary interests/resources in his own name and/or in the name of his dependents of an approximate amount of Rs831.678 million (approx). The reference alleged that the assets were “disproportionate to his known sources of income for which he could not reasonably account for”. The court has declared him a proclaimed offender over his perpetual absence from the trial proceedings and attached his movable and immovable properties.
