LAHORE (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to lodge an FIR against the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leaders and workers for stone-pelting police personnel and damaging public property. According to the press release of the bureau, they have decided to register an FIR against the illegal actions and interference in government affairs against the PML-N's party leaders as well as workers. The press release also stated that N-League workers showed systematic hooliganism and pelted stones on the police personnel. "For the first time in the 20-year history of the NAB, a constitutional and national body was treated in this manner," it added. Maryam Nawaz's appearance is immediately cancelled due to these circumstances and strongly condemned. Meanwhile, the bureau called an emergency meeting to discuss the situation stemming from today’s chaos that ensued after PML-N workers clashed with police outside its office before Maryam Nawaz’s appearance before the bureau. They said that in its emergency meeting, the NAB will mull over summoning the PML-N leader again. They added she will be served a subpoena to turn up before NAB next week.
