NAB decides to reopen cases against Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari in light of SC verdict

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), in the light of the verdict of the Supreme Court, on Wednesday decided to reopen the cases against PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif, PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and others.

According to sources, 80 cases will be reopened in the accountability court of Islamabad. The NAB has written a letter to the accountability court registrar in this regard.

The sources said that the cases record will be sent to the accountability court on Thursday.

As a result of the NAB decision, the fake account cases against Asif Zardari will be restored. In addition, the rental power case against NA former speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, the assets beyond means case against former finance minister Ishaq Dar, the Toshakhana cases against Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and the LNG case against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be restored.

On the other hand, the NAB has started reviewing the case against Punjab former chief minister Usman Buzdar and sought recommendations for his arrest.
