NAB detains three Peshawar Development Authority officials

PESHAWAR (92 News) – As another mega corruption scandal in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa emerged, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has on Wednesday detained three officials of Peshawar Development Authority (PDA). Three officials of Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) including Deputy Director Jaffar Shah, Abdul Bais and Mahmood Tariq were arrested, while former PDA Director General Qazi Laiq amd PDA official Ijaz Afzal were granted bail before arrest by the court. The arrests were made for allegedly allotting shops of PDA Complex through lease as the shops had to be allotted through auction, causing a loss of Rs 50 million to national treasury. Several other PDA officials are also involved in the alleged corruption.
