NAB Executive Board approves 11 references, a new reference against Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Executive Board approved 11 references on Thursday.

NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal presided over the meeting. According to the decisions, a new corruption reference will be filed against Nawaz Sharif.

A reference regarding the misuse of security vehicles will be filed against Nawaz Sharif, Fawad Hassan Fawad and Aftab Sultan.

According to the NAB, a total loss of Rs two billion was caused to the national exchequer through the misuse of 73 vehicles.

The board also approved a reference against PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal in the Narowal Sports City corruption scam. In addition, investigations into the corruption reference against PTI leader Aleem Khan were also approved.

Moreover, the NAB also approved investigations into the corruption case against PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah.

NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said that the faith of the NAB is corruption-free Pakistan. "Our top priority is to take the mega corruption cases to the logical end," he added.

He said that the NAB did not have affiliation with any political group or person, but with Pakistan only. "Steps should be taken for the arrest of the accused," he added.
