NAB finds proof of money laundering against Dar
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The troubles of former finance minister Ishaq Dar seem set to worsen as reports suggest the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has found evidence of money laundering against him.
According to the sources, the corruption watchdog body has found massive proof against Dar’s involvement in the money laundering. However, after finding evidences, the NAB officially started the inquiry against him.
On the other hand, the sized amount worth of 50 million rupees from the account of former finance minister has also been shifted to the provincial government.
It was also reported that the government’s possessed five-kanal house (7-H Hajvery House, Gulberg III) belonging to accused Dar will also be sold.
On July 27, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) in association with the district administration took a bungalow of former finance minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar into its possession.
The district administration confiscated four kanal and 17 marla property (named Hijwairi Bungalow) in Gulberg 3 after a stay ordered earlier obtained by Dar’s family from a court expired.
The PML-N leader’s family had obtained stay order from a court against the confiscation of his property by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
According to the Assistant Commissioner Model Town, the confiscation has been followed the NAB’s orders.
Sources said the authorities also seized cash lying in the bank accounts of Ishaq Dar.
the government has started taking possession of the properties of absconding Dar at the request of the NAB. A team of the Lahore city district government, headed by Assistant Commissioner Zeeshan Nasrullah, took possession of about five-kanal house of Dar.
For his absconding in a corruption reference, NAB seized Mr Dar’s all movable and immovable assets — the Gulberg house; three plots in Al Falah Housing Society, Lahore; six acres of land in Islamabad; a two-kanal plot in Parliamentarians Enclave, Islamabad; a plot in the Senate Cooperative Housing Society, Islamabad; a plot measuring two kanals and another of nine marlas in Islamabad and six vehicles.
