NAB gives former PM Nawaz Sharif a clean chit in Toshakhana vehicles reference

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) gave former prime minister Nawaz Sharif a clean chit in the Toshakhana vehicles reference on Wednesday.

According to the investigation report submitted to the accountability on Monday, it has been contended that Nawaz Sharif had received the vehicle as a gift in 1997, which was submitted to the Toshakhana.

On the offer given by the then prime minister in 2008, Nawaz Sharif purchased the vehicle. The vehicle was purchased from the Federal Transport Pool, not from Toshakhana and the payment was not paid through the fake bank account.

The NAB stated it would not object to the acquittal of Nawaz Sharif if the court exonerate him.
