NAB grants approval of 13 inquiries, references against bigwigs

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Javed Iqbal on Tuesday granted approval of 13 inquiries and references against former federal ministers and other influential personalities. The NAB granted approval to file reference against former federal minister for housing and works Akram Khan Durrani, former Sindh food minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and others. During a high-level meeting, the NAB chairman approved filing of references against former federal minister Arbab Alamgir Khan and his wife Asma Arbab. NAB sources said that Arbab Alamgir and his wife were accused of possessing assets beyond known sources of income and abuse of powers. On the occasion while talking to the officials, the chairman reiterated his resolve to bring all mega corruption cases to their logical end on priority bases. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (R) Javed Iqbal, on October 22, had said that anti-graft agency was committed to make Pakistan a corruption-free state.
