ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PML-N Leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is being used to save the corruption of corrupt government.

Speaking to the journalists, the former prime minister said, "Why NAB is silent on scandals of more than Rs 20,000 billion. Who will ask the ministers who were removed about their decisions made?"

“The case against me is that the LNG was not required and the plant was forcibly installed,” said Abbasi adding that the LNG supply was suspended for six days due to the incompetency of the government.

"The government machinery is preparing for a rigged election in the region. He criticized the PTI for ‘holding no respect for the Kashmiri voter’s choice.”

Direct elections on 45 seats of the Azad Kashmir legislative assembly are set to be held on July 25, Sunday. Four constituencies have been added to the elections this year. The last date for submission of nomination papers before the returning officers was June 21, while the scrutiny of the nomination papers took place on June 22.

Over 2.8 million voters have been registered in Azad Kashmir and 0.4 million in Jammu.
