ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has moved an application for the cancellation of bails of PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz and her husband Muhammad Safdar.

The NAB, in the 39-page petition, stated that Maryam Nawaz had misused the concession of bail. "Maryam made each hearing a political theatre. Hence she does not deserve acquittal and her bail should be cancelled," it contended.

It stated that Maryam Nawaz fills up the courtroom along with her supporters on the date of hearing.

The NAB said that accountability court had sentenced Maryam Nawaz for seven years in addition to the fine of two million pounds. It demanded that Maryam Nawaz should be declared ineligible for any public office.

The appeal has been pending since July 6, 2018.

Meanwhile, a two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) would hear the appeals of the Avenfield reference.
