ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a petition seeking removal of the name of Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif from the exit control list (ECL). The petition contends that the LHC’s decision to remove the name of Shehbaz Sharif from the ECL was not justified. “It is feared that Shehbaz Sharif will go underground, which could stop investigations against him,” said the petition. It appealed to the NAB to restore the name of Shehbaz Sharif to the ECL. “Shehbaz Sharif is trying to affect the investigations. Salman Shehbaz has already fled to abroad,” it stated. On March 26, the Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered to remove the name of Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif from the exit control list (ECL).
