NAB nominates ex-finance minister Hafeez Shaikh in illegal contract reference

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday nominated former finance minister Hafeez Shaikh in the illegal contract reference.

The decision was made during a meeting of the NAB Executive Board on Tuesday. The other accused include FBR former chairman Salman Siddique, Ashar Azeem and Abdullah Yousaf.

According to sources, the Karachi NAB had recommended a reference against Hafeez Shaikh and others. During the PPP tenure, a project worth US$11 million was made for automation software and a loss was caused to the national exchequer by making the payment to the company.
