NAB Rawalpindi again summons Sindh CM on September 24

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi has again summoned Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah on September 24. According to the reports, Murad Ali Shah has been summoned in fake bank accounts case for the probe related to Dadu and Thatta Sugar Mills and others. It was also reported that the corruption watchdog body sent a questionnaire to the CM Sindh yesterday and directed the Sindh chief minister to take written answers of the given questionnaire. On Sep 17, Murad Ali Shah failed to appear before the NAB. He has sought a week to appear before the NAB. He said that he would appear before the NAB in Islamabad and record his statement after a week. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had summoned Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on the report of the joint investigation team probing the fake accounts case. A 15-member team was in Karachi. Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had appeared before the Supreme Court-formed joint investigation team (JIT) in Islamabad which was probing the money laundering and fake bank accounts case involving transactions worth billions of rupees. On March 25, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had appeared before the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) Rawalpindi in connection with the fake bank accounts case. A five-member NAB investigation team interrogated the Sindh chief minister. Irfan Naeem Mangi, who is the head of the joint investigation team, recorded his statement. He was put tough questions regarding the auction of Thatha Sugar Mills and sale of Omni Group at throwaway prices.
