NAB shifts Khawaja Asif to Lahore from Islamabad

LAHORE (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has shifted PML-N leader Khawaja Asif to Lahore from Islamabad on transit remand.

He will be presented in an accountability court on Wednesday. He faces the charge of making assets beyond income.

According to documents and reasons issued by the NAB behind his arrest, Khawaja Asif had purchased 40 kanal land and plots in Cantonment Housing Society.

Khawaja Asif also owns two apartments in Islamabad. He invested an amount of Rs 813 million in different companies. His family received cash deposits of Rs 226 million.
