NAB starts probe against police officers in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) - The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated a probe against the police officers in Karachi. After launching an inquiry against police officers, the anti-graft watchdog body has sought records of 109 police including SSPs. The NAB has also sought details of the money paid to the Shaheed Police Officer. The letter directed all concerned officers to appear before the Investigation Team. The corruption watchdog body is seeking details of numbers of personnel and officers who have been martyrs along with medical records, legal heir certificate and compensation details.
NAB raids Sindh CM’s adviser Ijaz Jakhrani’s residence
The NAB team raided the house of Sindh Chief Minister’s adviser Ijaz Jakhrani’s residence in Karachi. According to the details garnered, the anti-graft watchdog body confiscated important files and documents during the raid on Ijaz Jakhrani’s home. It is pertinent to mention here that Ijaz Jakhrani is being investigated by corruption watchdog body in assets beyond known source of income. After the raid, a large numbers of Pakistan People s Party (PPP) workers and leaders, including Saeed Ghani, reached Ijaz Jakhrani’s resident after getting information about the raid. Ijaz Jakhrani said that he always appears before NAB in every notice. “I never missed any appearance before NAB,” he added. On the other hand, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto condemned the NAB’s raid and declared the bureau’s proceedings as opposition enmity.
