NAB summons PML-N leader Ameer Muqam on Feb 24

PESHAWAR (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned PML-N leader Ameer Muqam in the assets beyond income case on February 24. According to sources, Ameer Muqam has been summoned for the second time. On the other hand, the NAB has approached the Supreme Court for cancellation of the bail of PML-N leader Javed Latif. On August 18, 2018, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president Ameer Muqam appeared before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for a probe pertaining to ownership of assets beyond known sources of income. As per detailed garnered, the NAB team handed him a questionnaire and inquired about his assets. The inquiry was initiated against him in April, and summons were issued to him twice before, but the PML-N leader appeared before the NAB on third summon. Meanwhile on May 14, 2019, the FIA had arrested Ishtiaq Ahmed, son of Ameer Muqam, for alleged corruption in Shangla-Alpuri Road. He was remanded in the custody of the Federal Investigation Agency for three days.
