LAHORE (92 News) – A team of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will interrogate Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif at his residence today (Tuesday)  in Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) and assets beyond known sources of income cases. According to the sources, Shehbaz Sharif again in trouble as the anti-graft watchdog body has decided to investigate him in cases related to LWMC and assets beyond known sources of income at hi Lahore residence. The sources also said that the NAB has prepared the questionnaire to ask different questions. The joint investigation team will reach younger Sharif’s house at 11am Tuesday. The team will interrogate about alleged corruption illegal assets and LWMC cases. The Sharif Family spokesman Attaullah Tarar has said the PML-N president has received NAB’s notice and he is carrying out a consultation with his legal team in this regard. The NAB had previously summoned him on Aug 23 but he didn’t turn up before it owing to a back injury. The corruption watchdog had prepared a questionnaire comprising seven questions for the PML-N president. Earlier on August 23, the NAB summoned Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif in the LWMC scandal and assets beyond income. The PML-N president has also been called for questioning in assets beyond means case. The anti-graft watchdog body has prepared a questionnaire comprising seven questions to be put to Shehbaz during his appearance before it. He will also be grilled over allegedly owning assets beyond known sources of income. 92 News has received the content of the questionnaire to be given to Shehbaz Sharif. Sources said that he will be asked a question as why the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) was established when a department was in place. “Whether all requirements for the establishment of the company were fulfilled? Why was the contract allotted without completing the auction process?” another question to be put to Shehbaz Sharif. They added that Shehbaz Sharif will also be asked why the summary regarding establishment of LWMC was approved without the opinion of the Finance and Law ministries. He will also be asked to explain as to why he in his capacity as Punjab’s chief executive approved a loan to bail the company out and why did he reject a plan calling for return of the loan. According to the NAB, such acts on the part of the former chief minister caused a loss to the provincial exchequer. Shehbaz Sharif will be again summoned if he failed to satisfy the NAB officials.
