NAB to arrest Nawaz, Maryam from Lahore airport

LAHORE (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team will arrest former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz from Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore on his return to Pakistan. As per details garnered, the NAB has decided to reach Lahore Airport with arrest warrants of Nawaz and Maryam. The security departments have decided to strict arrangements of security at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz’s arrival on Friday. According to the sources, the NAB will arrest father-daughter duo from the airport. The law enforcement agencies have prepared a security plan as per which, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will be sent to Islamabad on another plane immediately after their arrival at Lahore airport. Earlier on Sunday, Maryam Nawaz assured that they would land in Pakistan at 6:15PM on Friday. While on Friday, Accountability Court-I judge Muhammad Bashir awarded the 11-year rigorous imprisonment to Nawaz with £8 million fine, while his daughter Maryam Nawaz was awarded eight-year imprisonment with £2 million fine.
