NAB’s executive board approves conducting six fresh inquiries

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Executive Board Meeting of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was held under the chairmanship Justice (r) Javed Iqbal. An executive board meeting has approved conducting of six fresh inquires. According to the NAB statement, an inquiry has been approved against Alia Amir, wife of Sindh Government Additional Secretary Amir Khursheed. Former Highway chief engineer Manzoor Shah, Sindh Abadgar Board chairman Naseem Shah will also be investigated for corruption. An inquiry against two former Sindh police officers, Ishaq and Ismail Lashari, was also approved during the meeting. The executive board meeting has also decided to close inquiry against medical incharge of Civil Hospital while the inquiry against the officers of Model Customs Collectorate of Exports has been sent to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Addressing the meeting, Chairman Javed Iqbal said that ending corruption in the country and bringing back looted money of public is NAB’s top priority as faith of the bureau is corruption free policy. He also directed to use all available resources to take all mega corruption cases to their logical end.
