Najam Sethi assumes charge as PCB Management Committee chairman

LAHORE (92 News) - Najam Sethi on Thursday assumed the charge as the Pakistan Cricket Board Management Committee chairman.

Talking to the media after assuming the charge of his office, he said that international cricket is vital for promotion of cricket in the country.

Terming the visit of New Zealand team important, Najam Sathi said that he had no intention to make changes in the announced team. "We have to rectify the domestic cricket. Restoration of the departmental cricket will provide job to the players," he declared.

He said that they thought Imran Khan's vision would bring betterment in the game and for this reason, he did not want to create a hurdle in the way.

The PCB Management Committee chairman said that they would conduct the matches in Peshawar as well. About the matches against India, he said that he would follow the committee consultation and directions of the government.

Earlier in a message on Twitter, he said that they would have to work a lot in the coming days and would have to end tasks done by the former government.
