Naqeebullah case: ATC reserves verdict on declaring Rao Anwar’s house a sub-jail

KARACHI (92 News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday expressed anger over absence of investigation officer in Naqeebullah murder case and reserved the verdict on declaring Rao Anwar’s house a sub-jail. According to the details, Rao Anwar who has remained SSP for more than eight years appeared in court with full protocol and without any handcuffs and prisoner's jacket. The ATC reserved verdict over Naqeebullah encounter case’s suspects former SSP Malir Rao Anwar and DSP Qamar Ahmed Sheikh’s petition seeking provision of B-Class in jail. When the hearing begun, the court reserved the verdict over plea seeking provision of B-Class due to absence of jail rules book. The judge directed Anwar’s lawyer to submit the rules book and adjourned the proceedings till June 9. Earlier, Naqeebullah Mehsud, a 27-year-old native of Waziristan, was among three others who were accused of terrorism and killed on the orders of Malir SSP Rao Anwar, in what was later termed a 'fake encounter'.
