Naqeebullah killed in fake encounter, police report

KARACHI (92 News) – Police have on Friday submitted a report in the anti-terrorism court (ATC) pertaining to the extra-judicial killing of Naqeebullah Mehsud, declaring that the 27-year-old was killed in fake encounter. The report stated that Naqeebullah Mehsud was killed in fake encounter, adding that the 27-year-old along with his three friends was arrested on January 3. The report further stated that a case has been registered against former Malir SSPRao Anwar and others. Meanwhile, police are conducting raids to arrest the team of former Malir SSP Rao Anwaar. The raids were conducted at the houses of Shoaib Shooter and former SHO Amanullah. Action was also taken in Abdullah Goth, Shah Latif and other areas. On the other hand, the mobile phones of all wanted officials have been shut down. Meanwhile, former SSP Malir said that the families of the police officials were being treated like terrorists. He announced to register the case after legal consultation.
