Nation rejects anti-Pakistan narrative for Nawaz Sharif: Pervaiz Elahi

LAHORE (92 News) - Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that the nation has rejected the anti-Pakistan narrative of former premier Nawaz Sharif.

This was stated by the Punjab Assembly speaker during a meeting with Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema and Pir Haroon Zaman Shah.

During the meeting, the PML-Q leader said that Nawaz Sharif is trying to harm the dignity of the country he belongs to. "Nawaz Sharif verbally raise the slogan of democracy but in reality, he flee the country by leaving the masses alone to protect his corruption," he added

Pervaiz Elahi advised Nawaz Sharif to focus on his medical treatment, for which he fled the country.

Earlier, PM Imran Khan said that Nawaz Sharif had attacked the Pak Army yesterday, not COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa. Addressing a ceremony of Tiger Force at Convention Centre, he said that Nawaz Sharif had spoken against COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa and DG ISI Lt Gen Faiz Hameed. "Nawaz Sharif had entered the politics after serving General Jillani and Gen Ziaul Haq," he added.

The prime minister said that the Sharif family got millions of rupees from Meezan Bank in the tenure of General Durrani. "He (Nawaz Sharif) also put Asif Zardari twice in jail. Zardari had constituted the Hudaibiya case against them. General Bajwa had not constituted these cases against the Sharif family," he maintained.

Declaring the PDM's meeting a circus, Imran Khan said that there were several artistes in the circus. "I do not want to talk about two kids who made the speech yesterday. They have not done any legal task for a hour in their lives."
