ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the nation will fully express solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers on February 5.

In a message with regard to the Kashmir Solidarity Day on Friday, he said that India had unleashed atrocities against innocent Kashmiris in 1990. "The Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed region at the international level. The innocent Kashmiris are being targeted under the garb of search operations. They are being killed extra-judicially," he declared.

The minister said that Kashmiris were promised their right for decision on Kashmir under the United Nations as well as their opinion will be respected. "Today the history of the 90s is being repeated. We want to assure the oppressed Kashmiris that Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with them in their struggle for right to self-determination," he added.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan will continue political, diplomatic and moral support for the unarmed Kashmiris. "The Kashmir issue is and will remain an important pillar of our foreign policy. We will continue to raise voice against violations of the basic rights of Kashmiris and atrocities being unleashed against them," he maintained.

He said that the Kashmiris were neither alone nor they are alone now. "Inshallah the nation will express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris on February 5," he concluded.
