ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Assembly on Friday unanimously passed a resolution to pay glowing tributes to the late Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gillani.

Speaker Asad Qaisar presided over the session. The PPP and the PML-N criticized the government for calling the session in haste. Later, the session was prorogued for the lack of quorum.

The House offered Fateha for Syed Ali Gillani and Balochistan former chief minister Sardar Attaullah Mengal.

Expressing his views in the National Assembly, Naveed Qamar of the PPP said that nobody knows how the House is being run. "The press gallery was closed during the joint session," he said.

PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique endorsed Naveed Qamar's proposal to present the resolution, saying Syed Ali Gillani was the hero of all of them.
