National Assembly unanimously passes resolution against verdict of SC's three-member bench

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The National Assembly on Thursday unanimously passed a resolution against the verdict announced by three-member bench of the Supreme Court.

The resolution was presented by MNA Khalid Hussain Magsi. The resolution, endorsing the verdict announced by four judges of the SC, demanded that an unwanted interference in political matters should be stopped.

It stated that the House rejects the judgement announced by three-member bench of the SC. "The House considers non-implementation of the executive order a matter of concern. The House also expresses concern over unwanted court interference in political matters," it added.

The resolution said that the House, while rejecting the verdict of the three-member bench, binds Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the federal cabinet not to implement this verdict.

It demanded that the full court should review the judgement of the three-member bench. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was also present in the House.
