National Command and Operation Centre meeting underway to decide on easing lockdown

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) meeting is underway to decide how and how much lockdown should be eased on Wednesday. Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar is presiding over the meeting. Chief ministers of all the four provinces are attending the meeting through the video link. Balochistan has already extended the restrictions till May 19. During the federal cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan had said that the government wants to end the lockdown at the earliest. “However, precautionary measures should be adopted strictly,” he said. On the other hand, the Pakistan Railway has decided to start the limited operation from May 10 and approval in this regard will be taken from Prime Minister Imran Khan on May 8.
