ISLAMABAD (92 News) – National Commission for Minorities Chairman Chaila Ram tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday. After beign tested positive, he quarantined himself in his house. Chaila Ram had called on Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi last week. On the other hand, 19 more officials of the Sindh police were diagnosed with COVID-19. The tally of officers and employees of Sindh police affected by coronavirus has increased to 494. Meanwhile, MPA Inayatullah has recovered from coronavirus. On the other hand, coronavirus cases in Pakistan have reached 113,702 after 5,385 new cases were reported during the last 24 hours. According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the country has confirmed 83 more deaths in one day and the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 2,255. There are 43,460 cases in Punjab, 41,303 in Sindh, 14,527 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 7,031 in Balochistan. Moreover, the number of cases in Islamabad is 5,963, 974 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 444 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In total, 36,308 people have recovered. As many as 23,799 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours. As a result, total tests conducted so far are 754,252.
