National cricket team to leave for UK via Dubai today

LAHORE (92 News) – The national cricket team will leave for England via Dubai on Saturday. The team will reach England for the four-month tour. A one-month camp was organized before the tour. One-dayers, Tests and T20 matches will be played during the tour. Meanwhile, in a befitting tribute to the work of Abdul Sattar Edhi, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced its support for the Edhi Foundation. The announcement was made by PCB chairman Shaharyar M Khan at a press conference on Friday. Also present at the press conference were Najam Sethi, Chairman PSL, Subhan Ahmad, COO PCB, Saad Edhi, Trustee Edhi Foundation and grandson of Abdul Sattar Edhi, Jahanzeb Khan, Misbahul Haq, Pakistan test team captain, Azhar Ali, Captain Pakistan ODI Team, and Sarfaraz Ahmed, Pakistan T20I captain team. As part of the arrangement, the Pakistan cricket team will be seen sporting Edhi Foundation’s logo on the playing shirts for the ODI and T20I leg of its upcoming tour of England and Ireland. This partnership honours the services of the great humanitarian Abdul Sattar Edhi, inarguably one of the world's most selfless philanthropists. The PCB chairman presented a cheque of Rs 0.5 million to Edhi Foundation. On behalf of PSL, Najam Sethi handed out a cheque of Rs 0.5 million to Edhi Foundation. As a mark of respect for Abdul Sattar Edhi, Misbahul Haq, Azhar Ali, and Sarfaraz Ahmed presented the official Pakistan ODI and T20I jersey to Saad Edhi on behalf of the Pakistan Cricket Team. The team also donated a signed bat to be given away in an auction for the benefit of Edhi Foundation.
