NATO Military Committee chairman calls on COAS

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – General Petr Pavel, Chairman Military Committee NATO, who is on an official visit to Pakistan, called on COAS General Raheel Sharif at General Headquarters, Rawalpindi on Wednesday. During the meeting, regional security issues and matters of mutual interests were discussed. The visiting dignitary appreciated the resolve of Pakistan Army and its continuing efforts towards fighting terrorism and bringing peace in the region. Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif met with Pakistan Army team which won International Sniping Competition held at Beijing, China on August 22-27 and awarded them prizes. A total of 21 teams of 15 countries participated in the competition. In total 12 competitions were held involving individual, team and comprehensive events. Pakistan Army team secured 1st position in all the events. Naik Arshad of SSG was declared the best sniper of the competition.
