NAWABSHAH (92 News) – Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zakaullah visited the flood-hit areas of district Shaheed Benaziabad near Nawabshah on Sunday. The district administration and Irrigation officials briefed Admiral Zakaullah about the rescue and relief activities being carried there for the flood victims. The administration said that the sensitive points are being monitored, while the flood water has entered in the more than 100 villages. The district administration has set up 46 relief camps, adding that the stranded people are being shifted to safe places by the Army, Rangers and district administration. Talking to media after reviewing the flood situation of the area on helicopter, the Naval chief said that the forces were stationed in the area due to the flood warning. He said that around 400 Naval soldiers in 22 teams have been busy in rescue and relief operation, while 22000 stranded people have been shifted to safe places. Admiral Zakaullah said that the Pakistan Navy has set up medical and relief camps throughout Sindh, where the flood victims are being provided with food items, blankets and medicines. He said that the Pakistan army is always standing with the flood victims and is also helping administration is rescue and relief operations. The Naval chief also distributed relief items among 900 flood victims.
