Naval chief informs Qatari PM about Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir cause

DOHA (92 News) – Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi met with Qatari Prime Minister (PM) in Doha on Wednesday. According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, the naval chief also held separate meetings with the Armed Forces Chief of Staff and Commander Qatar Naval Forces. Issues of mutual interest and the promotion of bilateral maritime cooperation were discussed during the meetings. The naval chief also highlighted Pakistan's position on Kashmir issue during the meetings. It is pertinent to mention here that normal life continues to remain paralyzed in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) as unprecedented and inhuman lockdown entered 101st consecutive day. Earlier, Admiral Zafar highlighted Pakistan’s role in the efforts being made for global maritime security. He said while representing Pakistan at three-day Sea Power Conference 2019 in Australia. He also held separate meetings with the naval chiefs of various countries, including Australia, Brunei and the Philippines, on sidelines of the conference. They discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral maritime cooperation. During the meetings, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi highlighted Pakistan’s role in Combined Maritime Forces and also threw light on Pakistan Navy’s initiative of regional maritime security patrol. He reiterated Pakistan’s resolve against terrorism and highlighted Pakistan’s role in the efforts being made for global maritime security.
