Nawaz cut roots of country to strengthen his kingship: Asif Zardari

LAHORE (92 News) – PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari has said that he with Bilawal and Assefa is going to the parliament. Addressing a big gathering in Mochi Gate Ground on Monday, he said that Nawaz Sharif had cut the roots of the country for his kingship. “He (Nawaz) has become cancer for the soil that will not pardon him,” he said. Asif Zardari said that the country is strong, but there is need to run it carefully. He said that the PPP will not spare Nawaz Sharif and oust him at all costs. The PPP co-chairman declared Nawaz Sharif as a thief of the ‘harees’.“Only the PPP can resolve the problems created by the rulers.” Earlier, PPP leaders criticized former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and claimed that the party will win the Senate elections. Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Khurshid Shah said it was a shame that Indian leaders who had Kashmiris' blood on their hands had been welcomed in Lahore. Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said the Sharif brothers had been to Saudi Arabia to seek support now that they had no support left in the country. He also taunted Shahbaz Sharif for bowing before the Pir of Sial. Qamar Zaman Kaira said Nawaz Sharif tended to remember the importance of democracy only when he was down in the dumps. Former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said the party was set for a victory in the Senate elections. He said that the 'party' had just gotten under way. Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani said the blood of Kashmiris would not go in vain. Chaudhry Manzoor, Nayyar Bokhari and Manzoor Wattoo also spoke on the occasion.
