Nawaz-Modi meeting: PM raises Indian intervention, Kashmir and LoC firing issues

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - After hiatus of 13 months, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a 50-minute meeting with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi at Ufa, Russia on the sidelines of SCO Summit on Friday. As per details, the meeting that took place on the desire of Indian side, resulted in PM Nawaz raising the issue of constant Indian intervention through its agencies in Pakistan. The PM also highlighted the need for talks over all outstanding disputes. Nawaz Sharif, assisted by Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, also raised the Kashmir issue and constant unprovoked firing the Indian forces along the border. Meanwhile, India's Modi raised the issue of Zakiur Rehman Lakhwi's detention and other issues with PM Nawaz. The two prime ministers shook hands before the start of talks. asdffdsa Commenting on the meeting, the analysts while terming the  meeting important said India should create congenial environment for resumption of talks following their hostile statements against Pakistan in recent months. They said Pakistan desires peace in the region and the Indian side should also reciprocate.
