Nawaz Sharif advises Maryam to attend APC

LAHORE (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has advised Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz to attend the All Parties Conference (APC) and the movement for restoration of judiciary. According to the details garnered, Nawaz’s mother, daughter Maryam and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar also arrived at at Kot Lakhpat jail on Saturday to meet him along with his personal physician Dr Adnan Khan. His personal doctor also did a medical check-up. The former prime minister was not allowed to meet his family due to Eid holidays. PML-N workers gathered outside the jail in solidarity with Nawaz and his family. During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif directed to Maryam Nawaz for participating in the movement for ‘Respect to Vote’ (Vote Ko Izzat Do). It said that the former prime minister expressed that his heart cries for poor people who are dying in this tsunami of inflation. Nawaz Sharif also advised his daughter to lead the movement for restoration of the judiciary. He also directed her to join the APC meeting. After meeting with Nawaz Sharif, Dr Adnan tweeted about his health where he mentioned that he consulted with Nawaz Sharif who is having an uncontrolled high blood pressure which requires further work-up, labs and electrocardiogram (ECG). He further said doctors from the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC), who conducted former premier’s health check up on Wednesday, advised sublingual medication to him fearing hypertensive emergency owing to unsupervised environment at Kot Lakhpat. Dr Adnan emphasized on specialized care for Nawaz Sharif.

Maryam Nawaz demands ECG, fresh labs for Nawaz Sharif

Responding to Dr Adnan’s tweet, Maryam Nawaz backed Nawaz Sharif saying that his personal physicians alerted about medicines prescribed by PIC doctors which can suddenly decrease his blood pressure and give him a stroke as he has already been prescribed on max dosage. She further said that sublingual medication must not be done without an all-time monitoring which is not possible in jail. “MNS’s personal physicians are of the view that emergency medicines prescribed by PIC drs can cause sudden drop in BP & stroke as he is already on max dose. Adding sublinguals must not be done without 24/7 monitoring which is not possible in jail. ECG & fresh labs must be done,” she tweeted.
