Nawaz Sharif likely to be shifted to Sharif Medical Complex

LAHORE (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is expected to be shifted to the Sharif Medical Complex in Raiwind from the Services Hospital. According to the sources, after his bail in Al-Azizia and Chaudhry Sugar Mills cases on medical grounds, the medical board will decide to transfer Nawaz Sharif from Service Hospital to Sharif Medical Complex after consultations. His daughter Maryam Nawaz is also present in the hospital. Nawaz Sharif has been diagnosed with a rare immune disorder ITP, is expected to be shifted to the Sharif Medical City Hospital within the next few days. The sources said that different medical tests of Nawaz, including ECGs, have come out normal. He had suffered a minor heart attack two days ago, but medics say that it didn’t cause any damage to the heart. The board has also advised Maryam Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif to stop PML-N leaders and other politicians from meeting Nawaz. Currently, Nawaz Sharif is under treatment at Lahore’s Services Hospital where his platelet count is recorded at 30,000. Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said that Nawaz Sharif had suffered a minor heart attack but his heart muscles were not damaged. “The ex-PM is satisfied from the treatment being given to him,” she concluded. The jailed former prime minister is being treated by cardiac specialist after suffering a minor heart attack at Services Hospital on Friday night. Sources said that the condition of former premier has improved and he is being given heart medicines. Moreover, doctors have decided to continue the treatment of the Intravenous Immune Globulin (IVIG) injection. Earlier, ailing Nawaz tested positive for the cardiac test Tropnin T on Saturday. The test confirmed that the PML-N Quaid had suffered a minor attack. Talking to 92 News, Medical Board chief Dr Mahmood Ayaz said that Nawaz Sharif’s condition with regard to heart issue is not serious. He said that Nawaz Sharif was not given oxygen for artificial breathing. Dr Mahmood Ayaz said that platelets are improving after new medicines. “Nawaz Sharif’s platelets have reached 40,000,” he said. Nawaz Sharif’s mother, daughter, other family members and PML-N leaders are present in hospital.
