Nawaz Sharif not named in Al-Taufiq, Panama case: PMLN leaders
January 26, 2017
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister of State for Privatization Muhammad Zubair said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has not been named in Al-Taufiq and Panama case. Addressing a news conference along with PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz in Islamabad on Thursday, he said PTI has submitted bogus and unauthenticated documents to mislead the Panama Papers case in the Supreme Court. “Our documents are authentic and verified that give a clear money trail of all the transactions conducted by the prime minister's family. These transactions have been done for money earned through legitimate businesses abroad,” he said. He said it is a record that no politician in the history of Pakistan presented himself for scrutiny as the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has done. He is submitting the documents of three generations. Zubair said PTI alleges that Maryam Nawaz is the beneficial owner of flats in London while we have documents to prove that these are authentically held by Hussain Nawaz. He said we have proved in the court that Maryam is not dependent. Muhammad Zubair lamented that PTI leaders are not even ready to accept the responsibility of the documents submitted by them in the honorable court of law. Speaking on the occasion, MNA Daniyal Aziz said PTI leaders cannot hoodwink the people as they have a track record of shady business dealings and chequered transactions. He said PTI’s Jahangir Tareen gave gifts worth Rs 1.647 billion to his wife and children without any money trail. Daniyal said how a politician living in a house of 300 kanals can talk on the plight of poor when he himself is leading a luxurious life.
