LAHORE (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s health again deteriorated on Sunday as the incarcerated leader’s blood platelet count fell sharply from 45000 to 25000. According to the hospital sources, Nawaz Sharif’s health deteriorated on Sunday after there was a sudden drop in his platelet count. The sources said that the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) quid’s health is unstable. Medical Board head Prof Mehmood Ayaz said that the medicines to make blood thin have been stopped. Under the current condition, the Sharif family decided to treat him in Services Hospital. Earlier in the day, the family has to decide for shifting Nawaz Sharif into Sharif Medical Complex in Raiwind from the Services Hospital. But in this situation, they decided to keep under the treatment of this medical board. After his bail in Al-Azizia and Chaudhry Sugar Mills cases on medical grounds, the medical board will decide to transfer Nawaz Sharif from Service Hospital to Sharif Medical Complex after consultations. His daughter Maryam Nawaz is also present in the hospital. Nawaz Sharif has been diagnosed with a rare immune disorder ITP, is expected to be shifted to the Sharif Medical City Hospital within the next few days. The sources said that different medical tests of Nawaz, including ECGs, have come out normal. He had suffered a minor heart attack two days ago, but medics say that it didn’t cause any damage to the heart. The board has also advised Maryam Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif to stop PML-N leaders and other politicians from meeting Nawaz. Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said that Nawaz Sharif had suffered a minor heart attack but his heart muscles were not damaged. “The ex-PM is satisfied from the treatment being given to him,” she concluded. The jailed former prime minister is being treated by cardiac specialist after suffering a minor heart attack at Services Hospital on Friday night. Sources said that the condition of former premier has improved and he is being given heart medicines. Moreover, doctors have decided to continue the treatment of the Intravenous Immune Globulin (IVIG) injection.
