LAHORE (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's ticket to London for medical treatment has been cancelled on Monday due to delay in excluding his name from exit control list (ECL). The departure of former premier was delayed and his schedule to travel Qatar Airways flight QR629 changed today. Tickets of Nawaz Sharif, his brother Shehbaz Sharif and Dr Adnan were canceled, as his name remains on the ECL. It is pertinent to mention here that the former prime minister accompanied by Shehbaz Sharif and Dr Adnan were scheduled to leave for London, today for treatment, via Qatar Airways’s commercial flight QR-629 from Lahore. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (rtd) Javed Iqbal summoned a session over matter to remove name of Nawaz Sharif from ECL. During the session, the letter, already sent to Interior Ministry, will be reviewed. Last week, the NAB had opposed the removal of prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s name from the ECL. The NAB in a response to a letter penned by the Interior Ministry had advised seeking a legal opinion from the Law Ministry over the matter of removing Nawaz Sharif’s name from the ECL. “Several cases are under trial against Nawaz Sharif, we cannot give positive response unconditionally over the matter”, the letter reads. Earlier, the London departure of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif for treatment delayed until Monday. According to the details garnered, the health of the former premier is critical as his name was not removed from the exit control list (ECL). Today, Nawaz Sharif had to leave for London but the ticket was cancelled after the legal complications. Meanwhile, the National Accountability Bureau has sent the reply over removal of Nawaz Sharif from ECL to the Interior Ministry. The sources also said that Nawaz Sharif will leave for London via Qatar Airways’s commercial flight QR-629 on Monday morning. Nawaz Sharif’s name was likely to be removed from the ECL upon a prior request citing health concerns. The sources confirmed that ailing Nawaz Sharif accompanied by his brother Shehbaz Sahrif and family physician Dr Adnan will leave for London on 11th of this month for treatment. His flight will take off from Lahore at 9:05am Monday.
