ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said that five months have passed but the joint investigation team could not get anything and termed the corruption cases against him a planned conspiracy. Talking to media outside the accountability court on Thursday, he said that no evidence was found against him, stressing that opponents hadn’t succeeded to prove a single rupee of corruption against him. “I remained the prime minister thrice, if there was any corruption it would have been proven,” he said, adding that he wanted supremacy of the Constitution and law. “I want to restore the dignity of vote,” he added. Sharif went on to say that those people should be taken into the rostrum due to whom an elected prime minister was disqualified. The former PM said that they have given Mian Raza Rabbani’s name for the Senate chairmanship, adding that consultations were held with allies in this regard.
