NBP former president Ali Raza, accomplices sent to jail

KARACHI (92 News) – An accountability court sent National Bank of Pakistan former president Ali Raza and his accomplices to jail. On the application of the accused, the court also issued a notice to the NAB. The court also ordered to provide medical facilities to the accused. The NAB prosecutor told the court that the accused had misappropriated about Rs 18 billion from bank’s branch in Bangladesh. The court rejected the bails of Ali Raza and his accomplices after the NAB officials provided concrete evidence. The accused counsel stated that Ali Raza is educated and a heart patient and hence he should be given the B Class. The court sent Ali Raza, Zubair Ahmed, Imran Butt, Waseem Khan and Tahir Yaqoob to jail until October 4.
